I had several complaints for a year. I have seen many doctors and had tests and no one knew what I had. I was ridiculed everywhere saying that it was not so bad and that it was in my head. In the end, a blood test abroad showed that I have Lyme.

After a month of antibiotics, which did not help, I took a different path. I investigated and ended up at the Lyme Self Help Group. I like that I meet other people with Lyme every week during self-help treatments. We talk a lot and exchange information. The understanding and recognition that I find are very important to me. These people have experienced the same and it is nice to be with fellow sufferers. I like that I meet people with whom Lyme is still active and that I also see people who no longer have any complaints, this gives me hope for the future.

I have been busy for a few months now and I notice progress in my health: I have more energy and less pain. I can do some things again and my environment also notices me improving. I'm not there yet but will definitely continue this way!
